Luiden de doodsklokken voor Pakistan? Wordt het strategisch gelegen islamitische land „met de bom“ uiteindelijk gestraft voor haar „daden“. Nu de hele wereld Pakistan aanspreekt op de terreurdaden in het Indische Mumbai, inclusief de traditie getrouwe „zachte“ mobilisatie door India en de anti-terreurretoriek vanuit Washington, en Pakistan bijna bankroet is, staat de „herboren“ „democratie“ met de rug tegen de muur. En op de „to-do“ lijst van de nieuwe Amerikaanse president Obama. Maar in hoeverre is Pakistan betrokken bij de aanslagen in India. Wat is er waar van de standaard „Al Qaida-blabla“ van de MSM? Laten we eens een andere optie onderzoeken.
Het is 8 november als bekend wordt dat een hoge officier van de Indische inlichtingendienst is gearresteerd wegens betrokkenheid bij aanslagen in west India, september dit jaar. De aanslagen werden in eerste instantie op konto geschreven van moslimterroristen maar met de arrestatie van Kolonel Srikant Prasad Purohit wordt duidelijk dat een hindoestaanse groep verantwoordelijk is. Hun taktiek: doe je voor als een moslimgroepering.
Een van de meest opmerkelijke „toevalligheden“ van de aanslagen in Mumbai is het feit dat de man verantwoordelijk voor het onderzoek naar de hindoestaanse terroristen, de Hemant Karkare hoofd anti-terreur, als een van de eerste personen bij de aanslagen om het leven komt.
De beste aanwijzingen die de Indische regering heeft voor een eventuele Pakistaanse betrokkenheid zijn gesprekken van mobiele telefoons van de terroristen richting Pakistan en de enige gevangengenomen terrorist, Ajmal Kasab, die zou hebben toegegeven lid te zijn van Lashkar-e-Toiba, een terreurgroep die openlijk wordt gesteund door de Pakistaanse inlichtingendienst ISI. De groep is vooral betrokken bij de strijd rond Kashmir maar heeft officieel te kennen geven niet achter de aanslagen in Mumbai te zitten. Ajmal Kasab is nu in hongerstaking.
Het verhaal wordt nog vreemder als blijkt dat enkele van de „terroristen“ blank zijn, alcohol drinken vooraf aan hun daad en wel erg goed voorbereid zijn. Op de foto’s die in omloop zijn van een daders is duidelijk een oranje armbandje te zien. Iets wat een hindoe gebruik is.
Een van de terroristen zou een stagiair in het Taj Mahal Hotel zijn geweest. Het joodse centrum dat werd aangevallen blijkt achteraf een uitvalsbasis te zijn geweest, compleet met afgeleverde voedselbestellingen. En waarom vuurde de Indische politie zo lang niet terug? Of de „Britse Pakistani’s“. Hoeveel Britten waren er nu bij de aanslagen betrokken? En waarom ontkent de Britse regering?
Ook is er nog het tegenstrijdige rapport van de msm dat de terroristen erop uit waren zoveel mogelijk „westerlingen“ te doden. Terwijl The Telegraph juist aangeeft dat de Taj Mahal werd gekozen omdat het een „symbool“ is van de opkomende Indische financiële macht. Als de terroristen werkelijk westerse doelen voor ogen hadden, waarom niet het Hilton of Marriot aangevallen?
Oppercomplotter Mike Ruppert gooit nog wat meer saus op het hele verhaal. Mumbai is niet alleen het financiële hart van India, het is het „service centre“ van vele grote corporations. Duizenden Indiërs werken er voor callcenters en service centres.
Als we kijken wie het meest profiteren van de aanslagen lijkt het vooral de conservatief-rechtse Indische Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) te zijn. Een partij die actief wordt ondersteund door de Verenigde Staten. In het westen wordt in eerste instantie vooral de „Al Qaida“ kaart gespeeld, al moeten de MSM daar snel op terugkomen. In het kader van de neoconservatieve „clash of civilisations“ zijn de aanslagen natuurlijk koren op de molen van anti-islamitische bewegingen. De Verenigde Staten lijken vooral geïnteresseerd in de druk op Pakistan. En natuurlijk is daar Israël, dat werderom een aardsvijand op de (nuclaire) korrel van twee wereldmachten ziet belanden.
Irak
Het SOFA-pact is goedgekeurd door het Irakese parlement. Irakese regering blij, Amerikanen blij. Irakese bevolking minder blij. Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid zal het geweld in het land niet afnemen, en zijn de grootste religieuze fracties, inclusief Muqtada al Sadr, nog steeds tegen het pact met de Amerikanen. Het het verdrag wordt geregeld dat de Amerikanen in 2011 vertrokken zullen zijn uit Irak, al duiden de tekenen op iets heel anders.
Syrië
Terwijl de Amerikanen Syrië beschuldigen van een „Iraanse“ coverupsstyle ten aanzien van hun zogenaamde „kernreactor“ vraagt het IAEA zich af waarom er in godsnaam geen satellietfoto’s van het door Israël vorig jaar gebombardeerde plek beschikbaar zijn.
Planet Gaza
De verschrikkelijke ironie van het uithongeren van kinderen door Israël voor de veiligheid van Israël. Dag 73736 in het beleg van Gaza. Nieuwe aanvallen en ook de Britten hebben ondertussen door dat Israël nu ongeveer iedere internationale rechtsregel heeft verbroken. Hamas biedt ondertussen de nieuwe Amerikaanse president Obama 30 jaar vrede aan.
Afghanistan
Volgens de Russen liggen duizend ton heroine klaar in narco-staat Afghanistan om te worden gedistribueerd over planeet aarde. Een tikkende tijdbom volgens Rusland.

Volgens de Russen liggen duizend ton heroïne klaar in narco-staat Afghanistan om te worden gedistribueerd over planeet aarde. Een tikkende tijdbom volgens Rusland.
Dit is niet heel veel eigenlijk. In 2007 was de jaarlijkse productie 8000 ton heroïne en als je de stijgende lijn doortrekt en er 20% bij optelt voor dit jaar, is het dus slechts 10% van de jaarproductie. Ook de straatwaarde van heroïne is aanzienlijk, maar niet verpletterend. Voor 1000 ton en een straatwaarde van 50 euro per gram is het alsnog "slechts" 50 miljoen euro. Kun je beter een olietanker kapen hahahaa.
Opvallend dat de productie voornamelijk uit Helmand en Uruzgan komt.
Laatst werd gespeculeerd dat ondanks de immer stijgende productie van heroïne de straatprijs niet was gezakt. Dat is niet logisch, want het aantal verslaafden is niet significant toegenomen. Dit zou impliceren dat een grote hoeveelheid wordt "bewaard" voor een toekomstig probleem. Zo zou heroïne omgezet kunnen worden in morfine, dat veel op het slagveld gebruikt wordt.

Het geeft enkel een mogelijkheid aan. Immers is het een mogelijk motief, maar daarmee is een link tussen de dood van Karkare en zijn onderzoek naar de Hindu fundamentalisten natuurlijk nog niet bewezen. We weten niet bij hoeveel onderzoeken hij betrokken was, en wie zijn mogelijke vijanden allemaal zijn ?
Wat dat betreft zijn dit soort zaken zeker interessant, maar moet je toch voorzichtig zijn met conclusies te trekken.
Ook vreemd: zoveel slachtoffers en maar tien terroristen die maar liefst 5000 slachtoffers wilden maken? Dertig patronen per magazijn, 10 magazijnen per man, plus een zootje handgranaten en wat proviand. Hoe verplaats je je daarmee door de straten zonder op te vallen?
Hoe zijn die lui onopgemerkt aan land gekomen en naar hun doel gekomen? Kan niet anders dan met hulp van binnen...
Plus terroristen die gewoon een massa mensen afslachten dat ligt er al te dik bovenop. Om het maar 's op een negatieve manier te zeggen: WE WANT CHANGE. En daarom doen we precies wat onze vijanden willen dat we doen zodat die een totale oorlog tegen ons ontketenen en dat is immers precies wat we willen? Heu? Dat zou Al Quaeda gedacht moeten hebben toen "ze" de aanslagen op 11 september 2001 uitvoerden (zouden hebben gedaan maar nie heus).
Hoezo verdachtmaking?
The origins and motives of the men who slaughtered so many people in Mumbai will emerge in the coming days. But already the butchery should be underlining one of the greatest of the many failings of the Bush administration post 9/11. Pakistan was always the real base for al-Qa’ida. It was the Pakistani ISI military intelligence which fostered and partly directed the Taliban before 2001 and revived it afterwards. It is Pakistan which has sustained the Islamic Jihadi fighters in Kashmir where half the Indian army is tied down. Yet the Bush administration in its folly allied itself to General Pervez Musharaf and the Pakistani army post 9/11 ensuring that Jihadi groups always had a base.
It is self-defeating hypocrisy for the west to lecture the Indian government now about not over- reacting and not automatically blaming the Pakistani government or some part of its security apparatus for Mumbai. The way in which the Pakistani military has allowed Kashmiri and Pakistani militants free range in Pakistan created the milieu from which the attacks this week came. It may be that the monster the ISI created is no long under its control, but it is ultimately responsible for what has happened.
The real political background to Mumbai is succinctly summed up by Ahmed Rashid in his excellent book ‘Descent into Chaos: How the war against Islamic extremism is being lost in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia.’ In Pakistan, he writes, ‘a nuclear-armed military and an intelligence service that have sponsored Islamic extremism as an intrinsic part of their foreign policy for nearly four decades have found it extremely difficult to give up their self-destructive and double-dealing policies.’

Lawrence Summers has been appointed to the position of Director of the National Economic Council, a position inside the White House. Yet his CV is marred by a number of stains, some of which should have been indelible… In December 1991, when he was the World Bank’s chief economist, Summers went so far as to write in an internal note: The under-populated countries of Africa are largely under-polluted. Their air quality is unnecessarily good compared to Los Angeles or Mexico (...) There needs to be greater migration of pollutant industries towards the least developed countries (...) and greater concern about a factor increasing the risk of prostate cancer in a country where people live long enough to get the disease, than in a country where 200 children per thousand die before the age of five.[1] He even adds, still in 1991: There are no limits on the planet's capacity for absorption likely to hold us back in the foreseeable future. The danger of an apocalypse due to global warming or anything else is non-existent. The idea that the world is heading into the abyss is profoundly wrong. The idea that we should place limits on growth because of natural limitations is a serious error; indeed, the social cost of such an error would be enormous if ever it were to be acted upon.[2] With Summers at the helm productivist capitalism has a bright future ahead.
When he became Secretary of the Treasury under Clinton in 1999, he exerted pressure on the president of the WB, James Wolfensohn, for him to get rid of Joseph Stiglitz, who had succeeded him as chief economist and who was highly critical of the neoliberal policies that Summers et Rubin were implementing wherever financial fires broke out on the surface of the earth. After George W. Bush’s arrival he became president of Harvard University in 2001, and hit the headlines in February 2005 when he antagonised the academic community in a debate within the National Bureau of Economic Research.[3] Asked why there are so few women in senior positions in the scientific field he claimed that women are naturally less gifted for scientific studies than men and swept aside possible explanations based on family or social background, or on discrimination. This led to a hot controversy[4] both within and outside academia. Although he did apologise, under besiege by the outraged Harvard professors and students, he had to resign in 2006.
While his part of responsibility for the current situation is not proven, his biography, on the Harvard university website, claims that he “led the effort to enact the most sweeping financial deregulation in 60 years”.[5] One can hardly be more explicit!

According to the BND report, “Regarding the key players (e.g., Haliti, Thaci, Haradinaj), there exists the closest ties between politics, business and internationally operating OC [organized crime] structures in Kosovo. The criminal networks behind this are encouraging political instability. They have no interest in building a functioning state, which could impair their flourishing trade.”
Thaci is one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and in 1999 led the Albanian delegation to the Rambouillet conference, which established the pretext for the NATO war against Yugoslavia. At this time, according to the BND report, Thaci controlled a criminal network “active throughout Kosovo.” In 2001, the report claims, “there were direct contacts with the Czech and Albanian mafia.” In October 2003, Thaci was “closely linked to extensive drugs and arms trafficking” with a clan that was also accused of money laundering and extortion.
The BND report says of Haradinaj: “The structures around Ramush Haradinaj, based on family clans in the area of Decani, are engaged in the entire spectrum of criminal, political and military activities, which substantially influence security conditions throughout Kosovo. The group consists of approximately 100 members and is active in smuggling arms and drugs and in the illegal trade of goods liable to customs duty. In addition, it controls local government organs.”
In December 2004, Haradinaj, who was considered a protégé of the US, became prime minister of Kosovo. However, he had to resign in March 2005 because the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia indicted him for crimes against humanity. Among other things, he was accused of the forceful abduction of civilians, kidnapping, unlawful detention, torture, murder and rape. He was acquitted in April 2008 for lack of evidence, after nine out of ten prosecution witnesses died violently and the tenth withdrew his statement after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt.
The Berlin Institute for European Policy report cited above also repeats the accusations against Thaci. Real power in Kosovo lays with 15 to 20 family clans who control “almost all substantial key social positions” and are “closely linked to prominent political decision makers,” the report states.
Weltwoche summarises the results of the study, saying, “The current Prime Minister Hashim Thaci is specifically incriminated.” It goes on, “‘Keyplayers’ like Thaci are responsible for ‘the close links between politics, business and internationally operating mafia structures.’ The political recognition accorded Thaci and other representatives of the Kosovo Liberation Army has given former terrorists a previously unsurpassed authority. Former criminals have won a reputation as politicians abroad, and enjoy parliamentary immunity at home, and the protection of international law abroad. This enables them to operate largely unchallenged in Kosovo and to put pressure on political opponents with the help of—officially forbidden—party secret service operations.”
It is interesting that the report by the Berlin Institute for European Policy also refers to substantial tensions between German and American bodies. “The German report is particular critical of the role of the US, which had obstructed European investigations and which had been opened up to political extortion by the existence of secret CIA detention centres in the grounds of Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo,” writes Weltwoche. “Doubts are growing about the American methods and also as a result of the ‘serious’ description of a high-ranking German UN police officer that the main task of UNMIK’s second in command, American Steve Schook, is ‘to get drunk with Ramush Haradinaj once a week’.”

De Verenigde Staten worden dagelijks bedreigd. Maar volgens een nog te verschijnen rapport komt de dreiging nu wel heel dichtbij. De Commissie ter Voorkoming van Massavernietigingswapens en Terrorisme schrijft dat de Verenigde Staten worden bedreigd door een nucleaire of biochemische aanval.
De Commissie, waarin zowel Democraten als Republikeinen zitting hebben, adviseert de nieuwe regering van Barack Obama om een organisatie in het leven te roepen die zich specifiek gaat richten op de strijd tegen de verspreiding van nucleaire en biochemische wapens. Een van de conclusies van het rapport luidt: "Onze veiligheidsmarge neemt af in plaats van toe", meldt HLN.
